Turangi is a small town in the central north island of New Zealand known for its natural beauty and for being an outdoor adventure playground with plenty of activities to keep your family, your group or you entertained for days. Often described as the northern gateway to the breathtaking UNESCO World Heritage Site, Tongariro National Park, home of the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, Turangi is the ideal base for exploring the region's natural wonders.

No matter the season, whether you're planning to hike, ski, fish, horse ride, white-water raft or mountain bike, you'll be just moments away from it all. Ideally located at the southern end of Lake Taupō, where the world famous Tongariro River feeds New Zealand's largest lake, Lake Taupō, Turangi is a natural choice for a stopover or an ideal location when you want to get away from it all.
